I was watching Top Gear earlier this week (a repeat: James and Richard and a group of rocket scientists build some rockets and send a car into space. Yes, it soon plummeted to earth and exploded in flames quite impressively. But still... How much do I love this show ( Read more... )

They are crazy, those Top Gear boys. :)

The link seems to be ok now. It's just to a youtube vid of a male choir singing said song, is all.

That garden is very surreal, like something out of Coraline - or maybe that's just me.

It does create a strange feeling, the colour slightly intense and out of true. Apparently it won a People's Choice award of some kind. You can't help but smile when you look at it, and I can only imagine what it would have been like to walk along and see it nestled in among all the other beautiful gardens created for that show. :)

Coraline opens today here, and I'm very excited about that!

Yes, it does get to one, doesn't it? The volume was up, erm, quite high. But who could complain when those voices soar through the air?!

Finished off the mini concert with World In Union, which was a song my dad liked very much. He wasn't a sporting man, and the song was written for a Rugby World Cup; but he had a cd which featured this song 3 times- Bryn Terfel singing each, but with an Australian, a New Zealander, and a Welsh woman (one Shirley Bassey, no less).
