Whenever I feel the need to get out of my house, I just go down the street to Meadowbrook Park, located in Urbana, Illinois. For the interested, it is reclaimed prairie land that represents an area that used to cover a dozen mid-western states. A few weeks ago I was walking from where I park to where I live. I park on an adjacent street in an abandoned garage. (I know the person who owns the property, so it is OK for me to do so.)
