What the hell? Since when do I want stuff? Dangerous business, wanting stuff...

So, I have two related questions:

1) Why do I regularly have to reboot my router? This has happened with every router I have ever owned, on every ISP, so it appears to be either something endemic to home networks, or something I personally am doing wrong. The former seems more likely, as the last two routers were set up by dejapes and the cable guy ( Read more... )

Actually, I have a lot of Lego Castle sets I'd be willing to loan you for the campaign. There was a time when I was a Legomaniac (and heck, sometimes they still pop up in the not-uncommon "toy store" dream, so I might still be), and tried to... you guessed it, collect them all.

Luckily, I tried to just collect all the Lego Castle sets.

... right, not that lucky.

But I was smart enough to realize that I would never ('never' in this context means 'need thousands of dollars to') get all of them, so I stopped trying to catch 'em all and boxed away what I did have in the cabin in West Virginia.

That, and the new sets looked stupid.

It's a 150-minute trip from DC to there, but that's much less than a trip from NJ to DC (which I'll be doing soon (I hope) anyway).

Just off the top of my head, I am certain that I own:
6048
6075
6082
6086
6090
6278There's also have two more castle sets I can't identify and at least one boat that has never been built ( ... )

You know, I kept checking eBay for Ramagon, and never saw anything interesting&mdash certainly not like the sets I already have. Grrrrr.

Wikipedia lacks a Ramagon entry.

The Lego/D&D combination has been thought of, but there are other ways to do it, I'm sure.

At one point I ran into BrikWars, but found it frighteningly elaborate. I have not investigated further.

Hmm, that's actually not D&D but a dungeon-crawl boardgame using Lego. Very similar, but with far less in the way of character and combat variety.

wow...I bet you're REALLY regretting impulsively buying that huge set o' legos a few years ago.
Actually, I bet what you're actually regretting is giving it to your nephew a year or so later.
Man, giving awesome birthday gifts must be the least rewarding talent in the world*. I mean, when do you ever get to enjoy them for yourself? Sad, sad, sad.

*Actually, being the best homicidal freak on the block may very well be less rewarding. I'm not absolutely certain about that, though.
