Going to vote in a few minutes...

I am amused by the fact that the Republicans didn't even bother to run for House or in most of the local races -- it's all Democrats vs. Green.

Our city council is expected to get at least one Green on it, a friend of mine.

It's been half an hour since you posted, but I'll leave this comment anyway in the hopes that you or any of your more politically minded friends read it later.
Please remind any democratic-voting friends who live in Virginia of how ESPECIALLY important it is to vote today. The weather is not going to be pleasant today--gloomy, with rain likely.
Virginia really has a chance of finally going blue this year, but many low-income voters may choose not to vote, after all, given the weather. It could be that now they can't make it, it may be some physical disability that gets worse when it rains. And yes, it could just be laziness. Either way, if you can vote, PLEASE DO. Less low-income voters very likely means less democratic voters.
Please, if you want change in the White House, or you just want to see an incredibly conservative state make it's own huge change, remind your friends!
Thanks!

Thank you for the reminder, but, uh, none of my friends live in Virginia anymore.

I may no longer live in VA anymore, but I still vote(d) absentee. I received the ballot VERY late (Friday), but overnighted it yesterday. I hope that it arrives without a hitch, and that is isn't in vain.
