Yeah, there is a lot of stuff I just loved, even after things started getting weird. Which is part of why the ending was so disappointing. I know how good BioWare can do with this stuff. What the hell happened?
I was totally disappointed, haha! That damn turian councilor, and of course my utterly paragon Shep, while tempted to tell him to fuck off, knew she couldn't afford to. SIGH. Maybe my more renegade playthrough will. XD
I liked every single minute of the game til I was up in wtfland. Which was like, guh. Especially after our goodbye with broGarrus. (I can't wait to see what it's like for Garrusmance) because he was all and I was all Garrus and Shep togetherforever!!!!
I was really just...baffled. Because all three endings are the same, basically, with tiny bits of colour. You can control the reapers, die, and blow up the relays, synthesize, die, and blow up the mass relays, or destroy the reapers, die, and blow up the mass relays. The Shepard survives bit is supposedly a hidden ending. I understand there's variants of those three...like if you really suck, the Earth blows up. But...still
I really hope the indoctrination theory or something like it is true, but if it was, why wouldn't they make it plain? VIDEO GAMES ARE NOT KNOWN FOR SUBTLETY.
I want Shepard to take that crystal shard Eve gave her, the one she used to dig herself out during her shaman test, the one she said represented "In the darkest hour, there is always a way out", and dig herself out of that London rubble and call down the full force of the galaxy right onto Harbinger's red eye. THAT'S the ending Shepard deserves.
Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis. That would have been so much more satisfactory, even if she'd died at the end. Frankly, I wanted to have her sacrifice herself to destroy the reapers, that was kind of my ideal ending with my selfless paragon Shep. What I couldn't do was have her sacrifice herself to not destroy the reapers. WTF!
I'm really genuinely bummed out by this ridiculous ending! It's deeply affecting my wish to replay the game, when I'd been planning out several different classes right up until the space elevator to heaven came down.
And yeah, "Control" was CLEARLY a trap. Synthesis is forcing the Reapers' technological future upon everyone in the galaxy. Destroy is the only true choice, and it SUCKS. Unless the Catalyst was also lying about it killing all AIs.
Yeah. I mean, it's not that it was a tough choice that would always result in a lot of people and/or Shepard being killed that bothered me about it, it's that the choices offered didn't really make much sense in the context they were presented, and I didn't even have the option to argue about it!
I know, right? There is definitely something fishy going on here. I'm holding out hope that BioWare will offer some kind of free DLC that will give us a better context or something, but these vague comments from staff members are driving me up the wall!
Its painful we have to wait for anything but I will gladly pay for any DLC that clears this up. I'm too emotionally invested in this universe to walk away with nothing but that terrible ending. I loved these games but I'll never be able to play them again if it ends on this note.
Yeah, I will too. I really hope if they do something, it'll be free, because being charged to fix my game leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll do it, but I will seriously think twice about purchasing BioWare games after this, whereas if they actually, you know, apologized and offered up a free fix-it DLC, it would be a nice gesture and I would think much better of the company.

But then why is the ending so bad?
