I just wrote the first half of the first chapter. I think itounds too bloomy but I am not sure. Any criticism is welcome.

Chapter 1

Despite Sherlock;s complaints, John felt a surge of happiness flow through him. He had not been in an amusement park, since he and Harry had been children. At university, the adrenaline acquired on ride had not been enough any more and he had sought his adrenaline rush in more dangerous activities. He smiled as he remembered the last time he had been here.

He had just turned twelve and had finally been big enough to go on the newly built roller-coaster, while Harry who had not yet reached his hight had glowed at him jealously until he had agreed to try and smuggle her in as well. Of cause they were caught immediately and lectured by their father, but despite their misadventure there had been a sense of unity between them that had been missing since. For a short time it had felt as if they were once again a family.

Sherlock was walking next to him, his hands hidden in his pocket. John had been so lost in his thoughts that he had not realized that Sherlock had been speaking to him the whole time.

“He actually used his brain for something useful, instead of wasting it like the rest of the idiots around him. Of cause Scotland Yard did not take his methods seriously, but he can without doubt be considered the forefather of the modern field of forensics. Without him Scotland Yard would still rely on whistles and notepads as their main tools of investigation."

He undoubtedly referred to Joseph Bell who had been Sherlock's focus of attention for the last two weeks. John was already used to Sherlock's many interests. One day he had come down to breakfast and had received a two hour lecture on medieval torture devices; he had not felt particularly hungry afterwards. John knew that many of his interests served as way of distraction, to kept his mind occupied, until a new case appeared. His admiration for Bell however seamed to run much deeper and John suspected that he had been Sherlock's inspiration when he had established himself as the world's only Consulting Detective
