Hello. I am one week old today. One week is a very very long time. I'm still rather unsure of this 'outside' place, though. It keeps getting too hot, or too cold, and sometimes it gets wet too :-( What I really want to do most of the time is have my milk and then go to sleep. Clearly the sensible thing is to nod off with the milk still right there

Take it from me, little god-brother, the milk thing is something all the big outside people do. I have been trying to use the sleeping while eating trick. I am even getting quite good at it: catnapping for 5 minutes and then just when my mummy thinks I am done, suck a few times. Works a treat...

That said... I do still wake up on occasion to find my milk supply gone. Calling 'lait, lait, lait' at the top of my lungs brings it back, though!

I'll come and visit you soon, if you like, and we can exchange our woes in person. (If I can persuade my mummy, that is, as I need her to attach my sling to.)

They just keep adding to the indignities! They have just tried putting paint all over my hand, and then wanted to press my hand on to some paper! But I thwarted them by balling my hand up very tightly into a fist ;-) So then they took a 'fist print', but they said it looked like a dog's paw print. Honestly, between that and my black and white spotty sleepsuit, I'm not sure they aren't getting a bit confused...
