(no subject)
OMG! I've been tagged by daffodil_bolger and I shall gladly participate but... and I'm sure you'll all think me an absolute idiot, but will someone please tell me what a meme is, or what it stands for?
Okay, here's the thing: I am just like you, daffodil_bolger. I also had no idea there was such a thing as a fandom until... one day, I was watching Elijah Wood on the Graham Norton Show and Elijah mentioned something about a LOTR Fandom, and fans writing stories, and drawing pictures of them, and making 'risque' photomanips of the cast members in character, which he vehemently denied posing for *snort*, and then, to my horror utter amazement, Mr. Norton himself proceeded to pull up some of those photomanips right there on the PC that was so conveniently on his desk. Well, lo and behold, I couldn't believe what I was looking at. Well, naturally, (and who in their right mind wouldn't?) I wanted HAD TO SEE MORE!
So, after a few internet searches, from some things that spilled from Elijah's own mouth, *Oh, thank you, thank you, Elijah* I found what I was looking for and, instantly, this whole new world opened up for me. That was in May 2004. And I've been such a happy fangirl ever since; meeting all of you wonderful, wonderful people, and reading all of your wonderful stories, and seeing all of your wonderful artwork. Ahh! Life is good!
'K then, here goes...
1. Total number of fandoms that I like: Ummm... One. Should go without saying really, but ok, I'll say it... L-O-T-R.
2. My first fandom ever: Ummm... LOTR.
3. My most recent fandom: LOTR. Now ain't that a surprise ; )
4. Five fandoms that currently mean a lot to me: LOTR, LOTR, LOTR, LOTR, LOTR.
