Alrigty, friendses, in case you don't know what this means, I'll put it basically.
If you EVER, EVER, EVER put ANY of your entries on a website called www.frienditto.com TELL ME so I can remove you from my list. I do not want people to see my stuff. And, now, here's some reading material:
PSA:
http://www.frienditto.comDO NOT use this service without fully understanding what it does and what it exposes you and your friends to, particularly if you want to remain on my friends list.
This site initially posted misleading statements that hinted at affiliation with Live Journal. Frienditto has no affiliation and claims that it never stated otherwise. Live Journal support has stated that Frienditto has no affiliation with Live Journal.
There has been some concern over this site and security of LJ accounts. If you provide it with your login information for your Live Journal you give this service permission to archive your friends only entries and ANY locked entries of your friends for which you have access.
Please read the following answer to my support request regarding this site and be informed. More importantly, inform others.
Dear user,
Frienditto is not affiliated with LiveJournal in any way. As such, this website does not have access to any entries which are not publicly viewable. If someone provides them with their LiveJournal username and password, however, it gives this site access to all non-public entries that account would have access to. We can only recommend that you do not provide your username and password to any person or website to ensure the security of your account.
Additionally, if you believe anyone on your Friends list may have provided their login information to this website, we can only advise that you remove them from your Friends list. This website will have access to your Friends-only entries as long as any person on your Friends list has given the site access. If any content is present on Frienditto which you do not wish to be there, you will need to resolve the issue with that website.
Regards,
Scott

(Emphasis mine)
If I think you're using this service, I will remove you from my flist. What is said on Ally's journal STAYS here.
Edit #1: Keep your trolling off my journal. You're not welcome here. All new comments are screened and will be unscreened at my discretion.
Edit #2: I have been told be weev to remove the fraudulent state that frienditto has claimed affiliation with Live Journal from this post. I won't do that, instead I will add this correction: Friendto uses misleading statements that can be interpreted to mean that frienditto is affiliated with LiveJournal. Frienditto denies that they are affiliated with Livejournal. However, every other statement regarding the archiving of friends locked entries has yet to be refuted.
Edit #3: Frienditto's legal documentation is quite disconcerting.
a. They reserve the right to edit all material on their site (which could very well include archived posts and comments).
b. They state that any correspondence entered into with their administration can be republished on the net at their discretion.
c. The same goes for your personal details if you provide them (Name, e-mail address etc.). Frienditto has stated that if they see fit they will publish your personal details.
Given the nature of their site and the behaviour of its administration to date, I would say the chances of having correspondence and personal details reposted are quite high.
Edit #4: Frienditto believes they are providing a legitimate service, taking posts from one site and republishing it on another at any anonymous users discretion.
a. Their service allows any person to archive any public entry, whether it belongs to that person or not.
b. Their service also allows the republishing of friends locked entries via providing the site with your login information and pointing them to the post to archive.
c. It is possible for your public and protected entries to be republished without your permission. This is a copyright violation. Frienditto claims they are not responsible for how users use their service.
Think of this before you make up your mind: What kind of person will provide their own LJ login details for the sole purpose of archiving their protected posts in a publicly viewable place? How many people would honestly want to put their protected posts into a public forum.
It's quite interesting then, that Frienditto has designed a service that allows a user to provide login details to archive locked posts. If the average person wouldn't archive their own f-locked posts... just WHY is this feature enabled if not specifically to aide in theft of protected posts?
Edit #5 clephan alerted me to this journa, ditto_cop Its owner is currently tracking whose posts are appearing on Frienditto.
Credit goes to: allyoops for this :)
