I have witnessed hockey for over 35 years. I've seen 35 Stanley Cup series. But this year, I have NEVER seen such LOUSY one sided reffing for a team like I witnessed for Pittsburg against the Isles. The Isles had an undaunting task, to beat both the Penguins and the refs. To put aside the total one sided calls the refs made for the Penguins and against the Isles. I predicted it after the 2nd game. I knew that the refs wouldn't allow the Isles to win because Pittsburg is the darlings and Crosby is the money maker. Well I'm writing to the NHL and explaining how this inconsistently lousy reffing is hurting the sport of hockey and will ultimately kill the sport of hockey. How dare these refs , with no oversight, can pick a winner and make it stick. This isn't fair and open hockey. This is at the mercy of a ref. Yet, Isles, you were the light, you were the stars , you were confident up to the last second of the season, you would not waiver and you believed in yourselves and I did too. THANK YOU ISLES. It's bad enough for our favorite sports team to lose but it's worse to think they lost unfairly. I'm a huge basketball fan and sometimes it feels like that. Grrrrrrr!
