Seems like every other email I get right now is a news alert about Elijah related to Happy Feet. I just read this nice article about the press conference and thought you all might enjoy it. In particular, there's this wonderful quote from George Miller about Elijah

Hi there - I've often seen your name around when I've been responding to other LJ posts & made a mental note to pop into your LJ some time. One look at your user pics tells me you're my kinda gal!! Actually - oh dear, this is going to sound really complicated, but I think I may have emailed you in the past, and I may also have seen you at a couple of cons - if I've got the right person!! To make this a bit easier, can I ask you if you know, or knew, someone named Jade who lives in Germany? If the answer is no - then I'm wrong - so I'll await your answer on that:D In the meantime - is it ok if I friend you?

I think you must have the right person, as I do know Jade (in fact, intro'd her to Elijah - sorta kinda, anyway, lol) in the boarding line of Air New Zealand flying out of LAX to Auckland for the ROTK premiere events). And you may certainly friend me, though I must say, I almost never post to my own journal, keeping it, rather, to facilitate my posting to others' LJs instead.

So glad to hear I got the right person!! I used to correspond with Jade but sadly we lost touch (my fault completely). If I remember correctly she told me that you were going to ORC in Jan 05 & suggested I contact you as this was the first US LOTR con that my husband & I attended. I did email you a couple of times, also someone named Sandy - but in the end never got to hook up at ORC. Jade sent me a copy of the photo op you had taken with Elijah there and when we were at ELF in Orlando the following August I thought I saw you there. However, when I heard your American accent I was confused as I was sure Jade had said you were from Oxford, UK!! So again I was unsure whether I'd got the right person otherwise I'd have spoken to you. Anyway, I'm glad I've finally sorted that out:)
