ooooh.... did i do that recently? i mena, not that i think you're directing this at me, but i always stop and think before writing pore/pour to make sure i'm using the right one.

I don't think you were one of them. As I said, it's been on lots of blogs within the last couple of weeks, and I really try not to keep track of things like that...but the last straw was a food/knitting/crochet blog called BitterSweet (amazing vegan sweets and super crocheted and knitted toys and things), right before I posted.

i've actually stopped reading blogs and LJs because of similar errors and misusage. i hate when i make the same mistakes.

I find it's a balance, for me. Consistent problems of usage and grammar are turnoffs, as are lousy pictures, but I'll keep reading if I like the writer or the written content enough. Or, in the case of the grammar/usage, I'll skim if I like the pictures enough.

where i live now, everyone uses the word borrow incorrectly, as in, "will you borrow me that?" it makes me want to tear out my hair.
