All this talk of snow days makes me jealous! We've been in the 40s for the past couple of weeks, so we've got next to no chance of a snow day.

Although this is probably good, because last time we had snow the Seattlites all demonstrated their ineptitude driving in it. I barely missed one major accident because someone didn't know how to drive in this snow..

I want a snow day! I heard the freezing rain during the night. But hence my job goes on. Roads where fine, fun part was getting the ice off my car. I made it on time and left at my normal time.

I used the morning to watch Zeitgeist. I really wasn't that impressed. It was just an hour long zerg rush (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=zerg+rush). I was able to smack down a lot of the history/mythology bs--Jesus was not born in Decemember ("and lo there were shepherd abiding in a field"), Ixion wasn't a God, but a man who had sex with a cloud and got hit with a thunderbolt, historians of the time of Jesus were patronized by the rich and powerful. Why would they bother writing about a slave religion which pissed off their patrons?--and I'm sure that people with more experience in the field could punch holes in the 911 structural stuff (here's one: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/pentagon.htm... )

I get that you're able to find lots of stuff in that movie that just doesn't ring true. I do agree that the logic is faulty, esp. re: religion. Obviously, most christian scholars will disagree w/ some of those details, as did I. but I thought enough of the similarities were there to make it interesting ( ... )
