My da and I are working out an agreement that will allow me to earn some extra cash (and get a nifty digi camera in the process), but I need some help

Well. Where I work we take 35% as well. The first thing I can tell you is know your item. Research every item you are selling to find out what it will sell for before pricing it to high-etc. To do this you log into eBay under your account name and search an item. Down the left hand side you will see a yellow list, scroll down until you hit the check list, check the completed listings box and then search again. The item prices in green have sold, those in red have not. Make sure you set your item price in the selling range to get bids. In my experience I start everything I sell at a quarter with exact shipping or even free shipping and I have not gotten burnt yet. :: Knock on wood:: Thats all the info I can type up on my lunch break. Good luck!
I guess I should elaborate a bit on the whole percentage issue first (so I don't come off as dissing what you guys take). this is a guy who's known my da for like decades (okay maybe not THAT long), but, definitely in the 'friends' category. my da hooks him up with some limited stuff (no strings attatched, jsut gives hime stuff), I just feel that knowing that he could at least do my da a fave and not jack up the price just to sell. But that's my opinion. He doesn't do it for a business, it's just a past-time for him.
But thanks for the tips. I need to research a bit more (so I don't screw it up). if you can email me any info I would appreciate it.

Much thanks for the info! I didn't think about the wording having such importance (I was told it was always the photos of the item), but I will definitely keep that in mind.
