hi, i'm linnea. i know hildeaux. my husband and i have been trying to knock me up and i keep posting a bunch of shit about babies and names and how exciting humping sans protection is, so she told me to talk to you so i would stop boring her to death.

anyway, since you just had a kid (congrats, by the way), she suggested i friend you. oh and because you're great too, not just because of your ability to spawn.

oh yeah, der, one reason was because i was looking into what daycare costs in my area (not pregnant yet but i'm a planner...) and i was wondering how a working couple handle something like that.

if you feel like chatting with a total stranger about you family and financial habits, that is.

Hi Linnea, nice to meet you! I'll friend you back so you can actually read my posts. I see you're also friends with gonzo_md, he's pretty cool too :)

I wish I thought about researching daycare costs before Taylor was born (I'm a cost accountant and made a lot of decisions based on cost lol) but daycare was something I didn't budget out and between the cost (which will eat up about 40% of my take home pay) and the not wanting to leave my baby with someone else to raise her we are thinking of alternative ways to meet our financial obligations and have Taylor be with one of us at all times. It's hard.

But feel free to ask me questions, I'd be happy to share what I've learned, I like networking so bring it on!

how long did it take to get pregnant? i thought we timed it perfectly last month, nope! of course, now i've got it in the back of my head that i'm infertile and all our trying will be for nothing (except the fun of trying, hee hee.)

oh jeeze, now that i've got your permission, i can't think of the other questions i've got.

Yayay - added back! It's fun to have local hip mom friends! How's the new baby?

She's doing pretty good, though I can't seem to stave off the colds :-( Sadly, she appears to have not been blessed with her sister's awesome immune system :P So, that kind of stinks, but once we get the colds taken care of, I think she'll be sleeping much longer and generally happier ;) Now, if someone would just get on that whole cure for the common cold thing, that'd be great ;P

Oh I'm crossing my fingers for Taylor, so far so good :) I hope new baby is feeling better soon, I hate it when babies are sick :(
