man, I feel like every job these days is total bullshit with absurd expectations like that. and since 2008 of course it's a buyer's market, so to speak, so they can get away with it.

absolutely. And I have some friends that say I should suck it up a bit regarding OT work but I really can't when I'm a solo mom during the week. This week has been awesome for interviews and finding better companies so maybe I'll have good news next week. I'm actually asking interviewers if the company is ok with the occasional tardiness and getting WTF results (as in, we are all adults, just come in, do your job well and don't sweat traffic or kids or whatver). Seattle's job market is weird because it's either uptight/rigid employers (like the Space Needle) or super laid back whatever (like a lot of startups and tech companies)
