I HATE fake trees. Of course there was no room for a real one this year, but it still got me all verklempt. :[

I'm curious about twitter but it looks like it would just add another layer of me stalking band members and I'm trying really hard not to be [any more] creepy!

Bands is mostly what I'm using it for at this point, since I have no real friends on it :(
But madina lake and valencia are stalking me back, so at least in that I feel justified :)

I prefer fake trees. I grew up with real trees, actually, and it was okay, but it was a lot of work to go pick out a nice one, bring it home, water it, and clean up after it. Also, fake trees are more economical, because you don't have to buy a new one every year. I think they're good for the environment, too, because it's not cutting down trees and it's reusing materials, so you both reduce and reuse. Plus, I do like the benefit of being able to move branches while decorating in case one happens to be in the way.

It's funny you ask this. Adam and I used to fight about it, because he wanted a real tree and I wanted a fake one. It seems like a silly thing to fight about, and I think it started out as a silly argument, but then he started taking it seriously. Of course, it just showcased one of the reasons I broke up with him: he was unwilling to compromise over an insignificant detail such as a real or fake tree.
