Stanley, my dog that I've had since the sixth grade, is being put to sleep. Last night, I was making fun of people who grieve for lost pets, but today, I am that person. I have known Stanley for twelve years now. Thats longer than I have known any of my friends, longer than I ever lived in one place, and older than any of my students
