Dan's family was pissed that I planned the wedding...wait for it...AN HOUR AWAY from Midland.

Some people are fucking ridiculous in their expectations for what is ultimately a decision that is made by the both of you (and not one that is influenced by everyone who is invited).

I'm sorry about this. I know how tough wedding planning is, and I can only imagine how much it sucks when the groom's mother is so resistant. They all need to grow up and realize that it's not about them. Book a plane, get a hotel room, and get over yourselves because it's NOT ABOUT YOU.
