So, in light of all the stuff that Aaron's been going through, he finally went to see the counselor at our church. She suggested that he go see the psychiatrist at the VA. She said that he had been depressed since childhood and has probably never experienced true happiness and contentedness, just varying levels of depression (he was mentally and ( Read more... )

I hope the meds will help Aaron! That's terrible about his upbringing. :/

I always read such rave reviews for progesterone but I often wonder if it would help me at all or be noticeable. So few of those types of things do.

Do you have some recent photos of your kids?

I think they meds have already begun to help. Or at least the hope of getting help is.

There are lots of reasons behind his horrible childhood. Drugs, alcoholism, mental illness, and sleep deprivation due to his father's job are the main reasons. Since we've had kids, Aaron actually understands his father better and has forgiven a lot.

It's taken almost 3 weeks, but I'm finally starting to notice a difference with the progesterone. She had me do 10 mg the first 10 days of my cycle and then 30 mg for days 11-26. I'm noticing more of a difference now that I've bumped up to 30, so maybe that means I need a higher dose. I'm not sure.

I tried posting a picture from my phone. I don't think it worked. :/

No, I don't think it worked. :/ Not sure why, though! I see the post, just not the photo.

Yeah, I suppose becoming a parent opens people's eyes about their own childhood.

That's great that the progesterone is working! What is the difference you feel?

I got it to work! But, in the comments section. :P

The big things that I've been able to tell so far is that I'm not losing as much hair (it also feels different) and I can sleep! And sleep is good!! ;)

Gosh I hope you get a break soon. I do sympathize particularly with your issues with Rose. Maia is a couple years younger but I often waffle between a knee jerk reaction to apologize for her behavior and feeling irritated that people expect her to act older than she is. It's not their fault that they are intelligent :p
