I’m sorry that I didn’t update last week. I had a work conference that took up a lot of my time. I did start an entry, but didn’t get a chance to finish it. I didn’t have too much to share anyway. I’ve been trying to post every Monday, but this Monday I used my journaling time to catch up on my church notes, so I’m a bit behind with my journal this week. A few days ago I hung out with my motorcycle friend (#1) for the first time in two years! It does not feel like it has been that long! I’m feeling the slow life in a way I haven’t felt in probably 15 or 20 years. There’s a hint of loneliness to it, but a good kind of loneliness. Independence may be a bit of a better word, but it still doesn’t quite fit. Maybe the word I’m looking for is freedom? Maybe there’s not even an exact word for it.
