I'm starting to fantasize about renting a room closer to work 3-4 nights a week! Especially since the car woes. *g* The thing is it's a very economically depressed - though beautiful - part of the state, and I might feel really isolated. Still figuring it out.

We don't know much about her pre-apocalypse life, but I like to imagine her as the youngest of a large family - she's the right mix of being a bit of a brat, but one who can totally hold her own.
Yesss, she has such a little sister vibe!

Ugh, I know you just watched Ties That Bind too. D: Such a wasted opportunity. It gets even worse in 4.5 imho. Just to warn you.

I think BSG is the ultimate fixer-upper of a show. There's enough potential there to make you invested enough to want to fix all the copious fail.

Here's someone defined by her desperate love and protectiveness of her family, and her (closely related) loathing for the Cylons , whom she reasonably(!) perceived as the greatest threat to that family. And then, the objects of her greatest love and greatest hatred turned out to be one and the same. OUCH. Yet, it had the potential to be awesome.

Amen to that - and amen to your disappointment with her storyline in season 4, too.

Obviously I was giving the writers a little too much credit for their brilliance and forethought. Sigh.
