I didn't think the movie would be close to me - I was so excited when I realized it was!! I'm sorry it's not close to you. It looks like a pretty wide release - > 1600 theaters I think.
It's hard to keep up with flist under normal circumstances - but when there is an Elijah tidal wave like we have now it's just impossible!!
On another topic - are the leaves changing color by you yet?
LOL! you picked the right expression. i couldn't see the resemblance, but now i can.
you now see why some of us couldn't understand what some of those reviewers said about the story and characters. it's like they watched a different movie. it was touching, fun, exciting and a wonder. sorry the review spoiled the ending for you.
so happy you liked it, but hey! a good elijah fan is excused from keeping track of their flist. ;-)
I was wondering if it was just my Elijaholic imagination working overtime - so I'm glad you see the resemblance too!!
And thanks for approving my excuse!!
I'm looking forward to seeing the movie again - the first time I see an Elijah movie I tend to be really nervous about will it be good or not (because I ALWAYS want Elijah's movies to be good to others who AREN'T Elijaholics). I enjoy them even more the 2nd time!! *hugs*
Actually it is playing by me, but hubby wants me to wait until he can go with, and all of a sudden his work has picked up and he's gone from 35 to 40 hours/week to 62 this week, so he doesn't have a lot of time and is worn out when he gets home. We were going to go tomorrow, but now my nephew is in town, unexpectedly, on his way from California to Boston (he is in the Coast Guard) and we are going to a luncheon for him which will probably last all afternoon.
This time ALL the characters had big eyes - this time I saw more of a resemblance in the face (believe it or not since I'm looking at a BURLAP face!!).
I figured it's probably just my Elijaholic mind doing it's thing!!
BTW - if I haven't already, I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so happy for you about the new job!! Have you posted about what the job actually is? If so I think I missed it.
aww..Thank you, sweetie! <3 I did post about it about a week ago :) I'll be a title 1 reading/math teacher at my school which basically means pulling kids who are having trouble and working with them in small groups, which is my ideal job! :)
Oh, yay! You're the 4th person that I know of who's seen it and loved it.
"one of the interviews I read just yesterday had spoilers about the ending"
I think I saw the same one. I was furious that the person would give so much away. That's the unforgivable sin in the film critic's world, IMO. I like going into a movie mostly unaware of what will happen, especially how it ends. Otherwise, it loses some of its impact.
And how lovely to have the movie playing so close to you. I may go see it again sometime this weekend.
It was SO nice to go to a theater so close to me and have the theater pretty full!! I so hope this movie will do well and I'm crossing my fingers for Oscar nominations!!
My heart sank when I read that article because I knew I had just read a major spoiler. *sigh* And it's odd - because normally I SEEK OUT spoilers - but for some reason on this movie I didn't want to know.

This movie will never be shown anywhere near me so I'll just have to wait for the DVD. *sigh* I'm glad you liked it.
I'm way behind on flist again.
You are definitely not the only one. *looks in mirror*
