It's good that you got a definite answer about your hand and thumb. that's a lot to be happening to one wee finger, poor thing. I hope the PT and splint give you a lot of relief. I've been managing tendinitis for five years, with all kinds of treatments and splints. If you have any questions, I might be able to answer them a bit.
And good for you regarding the colonoscopy. I hope your doctor can bill it properly.
Thanks, Janet!! It is such a weird place for tendonitis and arthritis - I'm hoping the OT and splint will help too. It seems like most of the pain is from the tendonitis so if I can get that to settle down it will help a lot. Gosh - 5 years is a long time to deal with tendonitis - if anyone knows about dealing with it you sure do!! I'll see what tomorrow brings.
Hi Julia!! I hope you and your family are having a good day.
I actually didn't realize that bone spurs can reabsorb - thanks for that info. The doctor talked about wearing the splint at night - it doesn't hurt at night - so I'm going to ask about wearing it during the day too. But the doctor talked about ultrasound and steroid creams and other things to try to help ease the tendonitis in addition to the splint. Sure hope it helps!!
Hi Moley!! I wish the hobbits WOULD animate - that would be awesome!!
I hope you and hubby manage to have a good day and that the steroids kick in very soon. You both deserve much better than what you've had to endure. Just now you are in my thoughts and I'm sending lots of loving and healing thoughts your way. *BIG HUGS*
I'm glad you found the sugar bunnie - it was sent with lots of love. I hope you are having a good Easter/day. I'm going to try to send you an email soon to catch up with you a bit. I hope you are doing well and enjoying the grandkids!!
