I've read many a similar comment. I'm torn between the enjoyment I get from the anticipation spoilers provide (I argued that this is a distinct form of entertainment in my thesis) and the thrill that an unspoiled narrative can provide. I think it depends on what you enjoy, and what the text can offer. Thanks for posting the quote.
And don't let the furore turn you off. TW:CoE is probably a masterpiece.
We can come up with some silly acronym for our group:
Campaign Against Car Killings (CACK)? or Nerds Offended and Living In Fear Everywhere - Liaising in Opposition to SUV Eradication from Regular Screenings. (NOLIFELOSERS - stretching a bit to get that one to work, but I tried my best)
