They're called pumpkins, and they're a type of vegetable. People grow them all the time, and they're quite edible. A lot of people enjoy it as flavoring or in pies.

Yeah, they're a vegetabl:, they're good in pies, or you can cut a face in the side and put a light inside 'em.

Well they look like pumpkins are to me.

But they've been appearing all over Somarium, so can't really say for sure. I'd say it's just another one of this world's little tricks it likes to do.
