Here is a topic that has been on my mind quite a bit lately. The legalization and regulation of Marijuana. Should we legalize it? Well there are a few different facets to this argument lets tackle what I think is the most important.
Legalize the medicinal use of marijuana?

Let's say that it's true (and I'm not saying it's not) that marijuana is in no way addictive, physically speaking.

Even so, I don't think that we'll ever see marijuana legalized for recreational purposes, if only for the sole fact that nobody really KNOWS that it's not physically addictive - there's a social stigma that says that if it is labeled a drug, then that means it's addictive. The aspect of mental addiction, I think, is too strong to break - at least in our lifetime.

And I was under the impression that there are places - maybe states here and there - that DO use marijuana for medicinal purposes? Maybe I just saw it on a doctor show and thought it was real, I dunno.

well number one, maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure they do know for sure that it is not physically addictive but the stigma of mental addiction shouldnt factor if we have legal drugs like nicotene and alcohol which are very physcially addicting.

in californian and a few other states they have the compastionate use act where you can get a card to have marijuana perscribed to you, but that paticular program is slowly dieing because of people abusing the privledge. which in and of its self KIND of makes a case for recreational if rec use was legal people wouldn't take advantage of the med use...but thats a stretch.
