Barnabas was really more concerned with how many people had seen that picture than how many bloody marys he'd drank the night before, but then he realized that he should be worried about that, too. After all, even though he was human again, Julia had warned him, he had to take baby steps in his diet. Plunging straight into mixed drinks probably weren't what the Doctor considered to be "baby steps".
He looked at the polaroid picture in front of him and grimaced, turning it over. It was just making his hangover worse. He rubbed his forehead and his hand brushed against some sort of fabric. Barnabas' brow furrowed - exactly what was on his head? He pulled whatever it was off of his head and stared at it blankly. He should have known: some strange, silver colored hat with an enormous, rhinestone-studded bow on the side, sure to attract attention from miles off. In short, it was the most hideous thing that Barnabas had ever seen in his life. He wondered where he'd gotten it from - it certainly wasn't something of Victoria's. She was far too sophisticated to wear something so gaudy. That left Missus Stoddard, who... no. Barnabas didn't want to think of such a thing.
So. It was Carolyn's.
Barnabas sighed and put the hat on the table, pushing it as far away as he could reach. What had he been doing snooping around in Carolyn's things last night?
And that's when it hit him - he hadn't been the only one at that get-together last night. Holding onto the table and his walking stick for support, he stood up, making his way to the staircase. "Willie!" he called hoarsely. "Willie Loomis, you have some explaining to do!"
