Just tossing these up here so I'll still know where they are when the character whoring posts disappears into the depths of campersfuck off. If you already read them there, there's no reason to bother clicking the cut.
Vincent being his usual sneaky self
"Heather. I--"
Heather blinked at Vincent. "How did you get into my cabin?"
"That's not important now. What is is--"
"No, seriously. The weedkiller's inside, there're boobytraps everywhere else, and you obviously didn't barge through the roses."
"I told you, that's not important." She forgotten just how whiney he could sound sometimes.
"Oh yes it is. You might be able to show up out of nowhere in Silent Hill, but this is my cabin. There's no way you could've gotten in." Except, obviously, he had.
She glared at him. He smirked back. She had a feeling this would take awhile.

Heather felt the hatred she'd carried for so long easing back, at least for awhile, as she leaned down and wrapped her arms tightly around the girl. "It's okay, little sister," she whispered, "I won't let anything hurt you."

"You old idiot!" Heather said, almost yelling, as soon as she saw him. "Couldn't you figure out it's dangerous here? Why'd you have to come?"
"I'm a detective," he said. It was so good hear his voice again that she almost wanted to cry. "You think I wouldn't look for my own missing person?"
"There's someone who would cry over your grave now! You can't just--"
He gingerly pulled her into a hug, ignoring how tense her body was. "It's been more than a year. You ever think I had to make sure I didn't need to cry over yours?
