Bonus is not based on billable hours, that I know of anyway. We have this big performance evaluation process, and nowhere in it do they say that they consider billable hours. I bet they do indirectly when they're discussing who's a team player and all that, but it is not a metric.
That's annoying, that your bonus is so subjective.
At my co, the bonus is one part subjective (they just give you whatever they think you should get on top of the other bonus) and the other is based on the # billable hours of the target amount in a year. You get 50% of your billable rate for every hour over the target.
