She's gone to Austin. I've tried to call her but haven't getton to her. She's gonna be good, though.

my mum said the storm has shifted and is heading for Port Arthur/Beaumont - winds will still be a problem but not much flooding is expected. It took my mum 15 hours to get to Lubbock and it took my uncle 24!

*huggles* I would definitely not want to be in that traffic on 1-45. They'll be much safer in the house than taking the chance that they might be stuck on the side of the road in their car when it hits. It's looking like Houston isn't going to get it as bad as they thought, so that's good too.

It took my roomate and Randon and some friends 24 hours to get to Buffalo before they gave up. They turned around and took 4 hours to come back home.

We made it to Austin in 8 hours- 6pm Wed. til 2:30am Thursday.
Hopefully with the way it all keeps swerving that everyone will be safe enough *snuggles*
