The dinner/auction last night was fun, although it was oddly absent of the "auction" part and the speech was entirely boring and somewhat infuriating (1 hour!).  Bring up Iraq and 9-11 and watch my eyes glaze over.  The dinner itself was terrific, i finally got to eat a cornish game hen and the dessert was nothing short of sublime.  It was like ( Read more... )

Shaun and I caught the matinee Borat showing. It was funny. very funny. like squirm in your seat can't look at the screen funny. The people in the movie are terrifying - remind me never to visit the states. I think it would be interesting to see what was real and what was staged.

There were tears and hugs with the goodbyes today.  Some days I wish that I didn't react so strongly to emotional situations.  I could barely look at one of the Partners today - but I will be seeing a few of them again on Saturday at a fundraiser so I'll just wait to cry there instead.  Of course, if I could somehow manage to get myself invited to ( Read more... )

two laptops, one big bowl of candy and digital cable makes for a quality geek out.  I hope more kids come so that we can stop eating candy!

my days are winding down at work and I seem to care less and less about what happens when I leave.

I find Halloween very uneasy.  Too many tricks and not enough treats.

We went to the Hungry Chili for dinner last night.  We had the Hot Numbing Chicken and Chili Beef - oh and spring rolls which were fantastic.

I'm back from the job interview.  I can't say that I left with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment nor a sense of defeat.  I went, was my cheery self and hoped for the best.  I know that I can do the job, but I'm afraid that I am not the most qualified candidate.
