(no subject)

I've been eagerly awaiting for the registrar to release the class listings for next semester. It came out around noon today. It took about 15 minutes for me to determine the classes I'll be taking next year.

The dork-tastic schedule is under the cut:

Basically, I'm taking Physics, Physics Lab (though I'm not sure on the day yet), Spanish: Conversation, Immunology, and Physiology. Oh, yes, you read that right. THREE AND A HALF science courses - Physics Lab counts as 1/2 credit. I have no choice regarding Physics and Lab if I want to take the MCATs come April/August next year. Immunology is what I want to do with my life, so duh. And why not just add Physiology on top? I originally planned on taking Intro Biochemistry, but checked for professors for next term and saw that it would be Petsko. So, I'm waiting for the spring to take that and getting rid of my language requirement in the meantime. With the schedule the way it is, by the end of Fall '06 term, I will have three of the necessary five biology electives for a BS or eight biology electives for a BS/MS. It's going to be tough trying to fit five more in there in the next three terms, but I can so do it. (Yes, my LJ has turned into a means of giving myself a pep talk.)

And, in case it wasn't obvious, fuck a double major in Women's and Gender Studies. I'm going to concentrate on the BS/MS program for now and see what I can do with that. A master's will help more than a BA anyday.
