The Avengers is one of these movies I could watch over and over again, even more than Captain America: The Winter Soldier which is one of my absolute favorite movies.

I'm sad you both don't like Daredevil :(
The hallway fight scene at the end of this episode is so well done! Okay, it takes some episodes to really get into and probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I just love this show so much!

TWS is a good movie in general and not that much of a typical superhero movie.

I just want something sweet and fun to balance out the darkness!
As a tip: Don't ever watch Jessica Jones. It's even bleaker.

I love the text on the Daredevil icon, but the grungy look paired with the vibrant colors of the Harvey are just amazing :D

omg, really? :o It's so weird cause before I had watched any superhero movies/shows at all, I had read somewhere that basically DC = grimdark, marvel = funnier and sillier, so I kinda had this assumption that mcu would all be like Guardians of the Galaxy.

aw, I love using vibrant + grunge, it's just difficult sometimes to combine the two! I used to do it more a year or two ago, but hadn't lately, so this was a good time to give that style another go... so glad you think it works in that icon :)

Guys, this was a lot of fun!

I am surprised you don't like Daredevil, mostly because I'm not a fan of any kind of superhero/comic whatsoever, and hate violence, and it won me over despite all that. I thought that would hold true for everybody. ;)

I admit I hated the lighting on Daredevil, though. It's all bold and artsy, but by mid-season, it was going on my nerves. So dark! *g*

I actually really like super hero movie/series esp Avengers etc but some reason Daredevil didn't wasn't my type. But you know, if Matt be continued, who knows. :)

I quite like the visuals on Daredevil actually, including the lighting. It's very stunningly filmed and directed and everything. the overall tone is just too serious for me, I would have loved it a few years ago but for about a year now I've been all about silly and fun and light things :)

Thanks so much for the lovely comments and picking your favorites! I don't use purple-green that often but this round I tried my best not to go directly to my standard pink-cyan-yellow-lime axis in every icon :p I'm glad you noticed the color swapping - that was the only way to make the colors match yet not blend into each other.

The alt is great too btw

I was a bit sad to let the alt go - it was my original attempt. And then I hit on that color explosion texture and knew that this was it. It completely hid the complicated text work and the fight pattern I made in the background, but still looked better. //)

I love grunge and paint textures, and I'm still working my way towards using them well. I'm happy it worked here - it's my favorite icon from the set, just barely ahead of the Sansa icon.

Rumple has stunning contrast and coloring + is super fun and creativeThank you! I found that the ones where I knew nothing about the characters were easiest to make. I was fascinated with his weird skin color and skin texture, so I tried to bring that out. I still have huge trouble with dark icons, because of my screen being too dark, but I won't give up. (You will see what I mean when I have finally gotten my turbo-rumble review post done

I just told jsfunction above how the texture on the Matt icon took me by surprise and I had to throw all my previous plans out the window. It just represents Matt so well - the primary colors and the calmly walking away from an explosion. Matt in a nutshell. :D

Colors are my life. Ain't that the truth.

Stiles is my fave from the set - I am still experimenting a lot with that coloring style, and am happy it worked so well here. I love grungy and paint textures, and I try to insert them into every possible icon style. ;) I'm happy it worked!

Thank you! That's my second favorite. It took me ages to make, but now I finally found the right text, I love the result. It's definitely not Sansa's proudest moment. I have so much love for Tyrion. But it says something important about her, too, and I like icons that say important things. *g*
