My FirstLine Summer Experience

***Warning--This Post Is Exceedingly Long***

I want to clarify, I think I'm passed the bitter stage, I've even stopped entertaining ideas of revenge--my story is purely for the benefit of those people who are considering working for FirstLine, and are smart enough to research it first (sadly, I was not).

I was handed a flier in the cafeteria at ASU ( Read more... )

Firstline Security lost their license to operate in CA anonymous June 20 2008, 20:51:36 UTC
They lost their license to operate in California recently, according to KGO TV channel 7. Three months ago Michael Finney did a story about them and the station got flooded with input by consumers complaining about Firstline Security. The complaints were serious enough to justify an investigation which led to Firstline Security losing their license to operate in California.

Jared Taggart is now working for Elite Security anonymous June 20 2008, 21:30:45 UTC
Elite Security in Orem, Utah. Not far from Firstline Security. The Better Business Bureau has this to say about Elite Security of Orem, Utah:

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record
with the BBB due to failure to respond to two or more complaints.

Wow. You completely cover the ridiculousness of Firstline. I worked for them in 2004 and it was the same thing. I tell anyone who hears of them to run away. I'm just sorry I couldn't warn you in time.

Wright Thurston and Trevor Keys of Firstline, now have a company called ELEVATE which does VOIP phone service. They are calling all Firstline customers as a "customer appreciation" call. On the call they also said they are a "sister" company to Firstline. They are also hiring summer reps to sell it door to door. I'm now going after this company to pay me what I'm owed.

I am one of the owners of Elevate and I assure ALL we have NOTHING to do with FirstLine, nor their staff. My partner and CEO, has taken a TimeShare company from $70 million in revenue to almost a billion dollars with 17,000 employees and he has never worked with FirstLine. Our Telesales are strictly regulated by Call Compliance as well as the State, Internal and Federal Do Not Call lists. We currently have clean records with each of these programs. Our marketing consist of telesales, door to door, kiosks, signage, direct sales, networking and a world class customer referral program. We SAVE customers money, CREATE jobs and GIVE to charities in a tough economy. If you would like to learn more about Elevate, please log on to www.goelevate.com

elevate over priced, under value, started with a lie. anonymous April 23 2009, 06:04:47 UTC
VoIP is a great service... But from what I've seen Elevate is over priced.. A company by the name of Global Linx offers better CS, a less expensive plan, and portable DTA adapter box, and untouchable long distance. As a consumer I wouldn't mess with Elevate. The Special Promotions listed on their website is a can of air.. No VoIP company in their right mind could actually sell the items they claim to be giving away.. It is like if you buy this car we will throw in the engine, a $3500.00 dollar value for free.. uneducated consumers will eat up the Elevate pitch.. And yes they are associated with Firstline... Wright Thurston is part of Elevate... Don't start your company with a big lie.

Do your research. This company is legit with the bbb. All complaints have been addressed. Sounds like the employee was a poor worker and got fired. Elevate treated me great and I couldn't be happier.

A few inside words regarding Elevate, their products, and Wright anonymous July 28 2009, 22:35:36 UTC
Actually, though the company MAY be legit on paper, they take no concern over whether their employees are educated about what they sell or not, even feeding them, lies to tell their customers. I personally researched in depth into all of the 'products' of Elevate. The only thing of high quality is the VOIP router, made by Linksys, and it's still overpriced ( ... )

Oh, I also forgot to mention, they told us that the 'Elevate TV' was capable of not only streaming HD video, it would be able to do so just fine over a dialup internet connection. I thought that this lie was particularly audatious, because not only is it impossible in every sense of the word to do this, it also requires a room full of extremely tech-ignorant salespeople for it to not be caught. This was something Wright said, and he said it with about 30 people in the room, and everyone but myself bought it. I tried to say something to the contrary, but was quickly shushed. Unfortunately, it can safely be assumed that Elevate salesmen are of this caliber of intelligence on a consistent basis.

I mention this because I think it helps create a very clear picture of what we have been doing. It is a prerequisite to be absolutely ignorant before joining this company.
