Hee, thank you! I'm so tickled that this was recognizable to another reader. I finished book 4 of the Lymond Chronicles two weeks ago and I'm still thinking about bits of it. ;)

More of this sort of thing may be required. It's sort of cathartic, although if I get mean I may have to start putting in cuts for spoilers. XD

I say go for it. Jerott deserves some meanness. (So does Marthe, for that matter.) Lymond gets it anyway, poor man.

Have you started book 5 yet?

Nope, no Book 5 for me yet. I think the closest real bookstore is in Gainesville, and if I use Amazon and a box shows up it would be noticed, and I would have to explain why I'm buying books when I still have job-search-related website and writing sample work to be doing. Might be able to pass it off as flight reading for Italy, but then I'll lose any books I actually take; too heavy to carry around after finishing, not sure it's worth mailing back from Europe.
