The Departed is actually based on a Hong Kong film called "Infernal Affairs" (which was incredibly popular, and spawned a trilogy).

I have the triology, but I am yet to see The Departed. I'm curious to see how Scorsese interprets the same story.

I actually knew that it was based on Infernal Affairs ( I think the title change was good ^_~). But I did not know it was a trilogy.

I loved that movie too, goal 1 : bang scorese goal 2: star in one his movies before he dies or stops making them ( wait those last points mean the same thing).
Everytime someone got shot I cheered and sometimes laughed while the person next to me hid in fright.

I love you, I love you , I love you

Oh, you guys - I meant Captian Nellis, a fictional American Revolution Tory.

But I WISH I got to read the Game Master for 18th C. Literature class.

I actually wrote the plot to The Departed on a napkin. I drew a bunch of stickmen. They bumped into each other haphazardly. At the last minute, they all shot each other in the head, and left the stick woman pregnant.

I agree completely with this analysis of the plot. When you come to visit - lets go watch some movies together.
