My mom is a teamster, so often, we're told about Walmart, and other large conglomerate corperations, and how we should ot buy from them, as they are ruining local business in our areas. I try to follow the banner, but If I really needed something, Walmart was close ( Read more... )

I know exactly how you feel. One morning, I'm warming up the car and I turn the dial to 100.3 ready for some music... And it's gone. I'm only now finding out that it's really gone, and looks to be gone for good. There is a petition going on, I signed it, and if you or anyone you know would care to sign, it might let our voices be heard. It's a faint sign of hope, but at this point... Anything is worth a shot.

Unfortunately, it is impossible for people in a very small town like where I'm from to avoid Wal-Mart. They have already effectively run everyone out of business. Many stores closed just before they opened their supercenter. I can't help you out on this one. It's either drive 5 miles, or drive 50 miles, and with gas prices the way they are, it's better to drive 5. Anyway.. love ya dan, hope things bet better.
