On Benadryl*

A friend once told me his mother, a pharmacist, takes Benadryl when she needs to sleep, because she knows it won't hurt her. "And ibuprofen? i.e. = id est, or that is to say. Specifies. Appropriate in this case.

e.g. = exempli gratiis, or an example. Generalizes.

Being awake and sane now, I agree with you. Last night, however, what I was going for was "an example of moving on would be finding a new job." However, since moving on in a way that makes me stay at my job is unlikely, finding a new job is the only example of moving on. Hilarious!

I got to sleep sometime after three. I got up at six. I left work at twelve-thirty because I knew I would crash soon. I think soon is now.

Why can't I find the first asterix?? I keep scanning and scanning to find what the witty note modifies and I can't find it and it's stressing me out more than it should.

I've slept now, which is good. I dropped off like a rock for three hours. If I can also sleep tonight, I should be fine.
