That is actually more appealing to me than a boring(yet romantic) drop to 1 knee and ask.

It is romantic in its own right!!

No firm date yet. Very tentatively Sept 18, 2004. But it could get pushed back to October or even Spring of 2005.

doesnt even have to me a huge group. I'm up for dinner with you guys if thats the case. I just havent either of you in somethign like 30 years.

you know, I havent even thought about an engagement party. But I would like to have you over for dinner sometime, I'll have to ask Brian about it.

I am going to come up tonight and check out your ring. He wanted me to come and see it this weekend but I wanted to wait until you ahd it so you could show it off yourself. I think a girl should get to show off her own ring!

That's going to make such a much better story in the years to come than "and then he got down on one knee.."

As I recall, ours went something like this:

Me:"So don't you think it's about time we got married?"
Him: "Yes it is!" (Kisskisskisskiss)

I mean , we'd bought the house together nearly 4 years earlier.
