I have been too engrossed in the wedding to spend much time on the journal but I have to tell this story...
Last night, I told Nick to let the dogs out to potty. He came back in in about 2 minutes with a weird look on his face. I said " That was quick"
Nick: " Goblin wouldn't get off the porch"
Me: "Why not"
Nick:" He was scared of a balloon."
Me: "What balloon?"
Nick: "There was a yellow smiley face balloon floating in the middle of our yard..."
Me: "Huh? That's creepy, it sounds like the It clown or something"
Nick: "Yeah, it had a note on it"
Me: " A note?"
Nick: " Yeah, to a dead person.."
Me: "What?"
Nick: " Yeah, like when someone lets it go at a grave or something."
Me: " OK, bullshit..."
Nick: " No really!"
Me: " Come on, your making this up"
Nick:" No, I'm not! It's really out there. Like up under my window"
Me: " Then go get it"
Nick: " I'm not getting it! It belongs to a dead person..."
Me: " Right. Your lying. That's what I thought..."
So, then proving me wrong, he goes outside and brings in this Yellow smiley face balloon with a note tied to the string. I was like... no Fucking way....And sure enough, the note seemed to be from a girl to her dead mother. It was so damn sad. I started bawling and laughing at the same time. I was like, are we cursed or what? It freaked me out.
I have never heard of that happening before. Is there some sort of superstition about those things? What are you supposed to do with them? Fill them back up and let them float away again or what? I don't need any bad Karma or Juu Juu following me around right now.
Any ideas?
