Hehe, it's one of my favorite series. I actually think that I find 7 to be the best book of the series. It was well-written, it did tie all the ends together, and it didn't kill off anyone I was -too- unwilling to let go of. (I have been biting my nails for years that Neville would bite the dust before the end.)
JKR did a great thing with this series, and the best part of it was that Harry and the style of writing itself GREW as the series went on. Book 7 seems unrecognizable as part of the same thing that is Book 1, and yet they're all connected. It's crazy to think of, but that's also what I think makes the series so loveable.
A few of the killings though, I was really upset at (Namely: Dobby, Lupin/Tonks, and Fred). Hedwig went lamely too. :( But I guess that's part of the charm of HP too. The realism that goes hand in hand with the tragedy.
Neville did pretty well for himself in the end. Remember how awkward he was in the beginning and we look at him now in the end and just how amazing he is. :)
Did you like that final chapter, where it was like 19 years later? Was I the only one that saw Heero Yuy in Harry? I think I might be going bonkers.

Glad you finally got to read it!
