Fighting Ability Stats/Moves
Type: Ice/Flying
Nature: Gentle (higher Spc. Defense, lower Defense)
Strong offensive against: Fighting, Flying, Grass, Bug, Dragon
Strong defense against: Grass, Ground, Bug
Weak against: Fire, Electricity, Rock, Steel
Articuno's moveset, following the rules that she can only use four at a time during a fight, but still has knowledge of the rest for other practical reasons, such as gijinka forms.
Primary fighting abilities:
- Ice Beam (summons ice to hurl at the opponent)
- Roost (waits a turn to rest up, regaining health)
- Fly (flies into the air to dodge an incoming attack and perform one on her opponent)
- Hail (summons a hailstorm that slowly damages a foe for a short period of time)
Other, non-combatitive abilities, or moves that can sometimes be switched out for some of the moves above:
- Mind Reader (can pick up some telepathic messages from Psychic pokemon and other psychic peers)
- [Gijinka] Transform (self-explanatory)
- Rest (gotta sleep sometime)
- Agility (temporarily but greatly increases speed)
- Blizzard (she's the legendary bird of ice; it makes sense.)
- Aerial Ace (uses wings to swiftly smack a foe)
- Return (she's very emotional, and when bearing a deep connection with a nearby friend, will attack stronger and more fiercely)
- Avalanche (when there's actually snow around, anything that could make her deeply upset would cause her to let out a loud screech, summoning a cascade of snow from a nearby mountain)
- Sing (tends to sing at night when she's lonely)
Inherent Ability: Pressure--intimidates the opponent as a legendary, making it harder for them to perform their own attacks (i.e. uses double PP)
