"Miracle on Main Street"

It's an absolute miracle that everyone escaped alive and mostly uninjured from this Hell early morning Wednesday in Everett, which is about 30 miles north and east of me. Two homes and twenty-one cars were totally destroyed, two houses were damaged, and some cats and dogs are missing. No people were killed, and the community has all been banding

Geez. This is the first I heard of it. That's HORRIBLE.

Yeah, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. :/

However, I read that this morning and was almost literally frozen from the emotional impact, imagining what going through that must have been like. I don't know what brought it on, the story or the pictures. It took me a few minutes to get back to normal and a little while before I was motivated to do real work again.

I'm okay again, but I'm still moved to at least contribute something to help these folks out.

It is. It's extremely fortunate the folks in the destroyed triple-deckers were able to get out before it was too late. Material can be replaced; lives cannot.
