That's a beautiful place! So haunting, it makes you want to write a story or make a movie or something about it.

Oh, wow, that looks so pretty! :D Also the ones in the articles - it's a shame that the two that got tore down were actually two of the prettiest, though I guess they weren't legally accessible, anyway. :)

Yes, doesn't it? And yeah, I agree. Such a shame that the ones that ~nearly became one with nature were torn down. I'd like to go see one of these abandoned themeparks sometime though. Idk if that will ever happen/be possible, but yeah, I think it'd be neat.

abandoned theme parks are fascinating... i imagine they would make for a good photo op or a really awesome backdrop for a photo shoot.
At the same time there is something sad about them - well they are sad.
I remember that there is some sort of alice in wonderland abandoned park in korea and there was an abandoned roller coaster ride opposite my hotel in Japan, I could actually see it from my window.
(http://www.flickr.com/photos/36637873@N07/3377925028/) my friend told me it was built and then the company bankrupted and now it's just sitting there.
We also had an abandoned amusement park here - basically it wasn't make enough money to stay on so it was closed and just sat there for a few years before someone finally cleaned it up - at least i think it's not there anymore hehe
