here are pictures from one of my favorite books. it's called "ready, steady, go" and it's a children's english study book from the year 1969. i've used it on paper collages. i found it in a dumpster.

eikö. tuossa kirjasessa on upeat kuvitukset, ja esimerkkilauseet. "this policeman is my friend" jne.

mageet kuvitukset! voijuku,,, ^^
vähä surrealistista oppia lauseita kuten "i am a house"
toi varas on mun lemppari, sillä on hieno mekko ja huivi!

ja puhekuplien tekstin asemointi on myös miellyttävän epämääräistä! tuossa kirjassa on myös paljon lauluja nuotteineen.

true. there's often some kind of dada aspect in beginners' language books. the text has to be very simple with just a few words. i'm just learning the basics of italian, and our studybook is funny and full of italian stereotypes.

i like to play with my first REAL camera. i think i'll join a dozen "post-pictures-of-your" lj communities and send photos.
