Fractured (4/4)

Giles held Buffy’s hand as they walked into the Magic Box. He chuckled as he looked around the shop. “Well, this certainly looks familiar.”

Anya grinned happily. “Hi, Giles! And, remember...you’re still a silent partner.”

Giles returned her grin. “I promise not to forget, Anya.” His gaze shifted when Xander walked out of the backroom ( Read more... )

Thank you very much.

This story was the hardest one for me to write. I really don't like hurting Giles...especially in this way. So, when the idea came to me, I made sure to give it a happy ending to even out everything I did to him. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much for this. You did an amazing job handling both Buffy and Giles' emotions and pont of view in this.
I also loved that Ethan wasn't wholly the villian in this and I'm particularly glad that Buffy and Giles now get to have a happy future together.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on this story. It means so much to me!

I seem to be unable to make Ethan completely evil... :)

This was the most intense fanfic I have ever read (and I've read a lot). I can understand that it was difficult to write, and I think it took guts to post it, but I support that decision 100%. This is such high-calibre writing. I have to admit to a soft spot for Ethan, so I was relieved when it turned out he wasn't the big bad after all. I too, like happy endings. Wonderful job.

Thanks so much for your kind words. This story was definitely hard to write, but I think it's one of my favourites. I've always had a soft spot for Ethan too...I'm not sure I could make him be a true big bad. I'll have him do bad things, but...I love him too much. :)

I'm so very glad that you liked it. And thanks again for reading it :D

Oh, there is just...wow! Words can't describe this. I'm amazed at how you worked them through the trauma of the attack, and even more impressed with you making Ethan into a sympathetic pawn. Have to say, that is more believable to me than the way it first appeared.

Then there's the added bonus of showing up Riley and having season 4 B/G goodness. Oh, *squee*!!!!

This is probably one of the hardest fics I have written to date. I ended up having to take a short break from writing after this one...just to regroup and get my head back into a non-hurt Giles and Buffy place.

Saying that...it's also probably one of my favourites that I've written.

So, I'm glad that you took the time to read it and I'm really happy that you enjoyed it. Thank you so much! :)
