I remember where I was, too! I was in my freshman Honors English class at Purdue.. I took it in a computer lab and someone posted about it on a message board I frequented at the time. But CNN and other news websites were so jammed with traffic that I couldn't through and no tv during class. :(
I had fallen asleep on our futon after my 8:30 class and Amy busted into the room ranting about how planes were crashing and people were dying. My response to this was hilarious, but it will be revealed at a different time. Perhaps when things aren't so solemn.
Our friend Gabe on the other hand was at NYU at a coffee shop and made a comment about how the sky could be falling and he would have no idea. He then walked outside and said, "Man is it dusty today..."
In other news, today is my cousin's birthday and my friends Alix and Jason's wedding anniversary.
i was in chemistry class when our principal announced what was going on, everyone went to another classroom to watch it on tv...me and my best friend stayed in the other room...it was like if i didnt watch it, it couldnt be happening...i went home that night and cried...i remember thinking that my brother was about to turn 18 (on the 16th, the same as your birthday)and i was so afraid that he was going to be drafted...i prayed so hard that night, i dont think i slept at all...thank you dave for being willing to fight for our country...always remember that you are in my prayers. i love you.

it's like a train being derailed. there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
