There has to be something we can do. I know that feeling sorry won't change anything, and I know that we can't help anyone if we've been thrown in the brig for insubordination, but there has got to be something that we can do.
if it isn't one thing...

I got punched in the face yesterday for offerin' to help someone rebuild the frame of their house. Can you believe that shit?

Truth be told, I'd rather be damned for helping than by my inaction. Not to sound paranoid, but t's almost as if the Central is trying to make the people of Rukongai hate us more than a lot of them already do. Going in my free time, even accompanied, keeps getting more dangerous.

Actually he threw a pretty mean left hook--wasn't expecting that. I'm right-handed.
Anyway, I agree with you; I don't trust Central so far as I can throw them, and it really wouldn't surprise me one bit if they were trying to sabotage our relations with Rukongai, especially since Aizen's got his Arrancronies on the panel now.
That said, I don't think we can do more than what we are for the time being. If we get locked up, we're useless. Don't go unaccompanied, though; if I'm getting punched in the face as a captain, I don't wanna know what they might try and do to a lieutenant. Especially a female one. I ain't saying you're incapable of watching your own back, but it's a risk I'd rather you didn't take.

We haven't been able to help much in the way of supplies, but when we go out we set up temporary triage units and try to help as many sick and injured people as possible. Some seem appreciative, others not so much. No one has tried to hurt us, but we do get hassled. I have enough spiritual pressure to squelch any fighting before it gets too heated. Not that I'd hurt people, obviously, but sometimes it helps to surprise them a little.
