Hmm, Cairo sounds like Spanish countries. They don't do anything by time either. It's like a clock doesn't exist. You were saying the guys fixing the water pipes were suppose to be on a 12-14 schedule...I'm figuring that your time system is different from the U.S.? I've never heard that before, so I'm curious about it.

Anyway, that really sucks about your brother. How awful! There's no reason for them to stretch out not giving him a visa already. Jesh. Why do people always have to come up with something to postpone everything. It seems like there's always an excuse, you know? lol. I'd give up with people like this too. There's no dealing with them.

Hmm, maybe I expressed myself incorrectly. They were supposed to be fixing it for 2 hours, from 12:00 till 14:00. What do you mean the time system might be different? I'm pretty sure I didn't understand that bit. I have no idea what it's like with you guys, lol I'm clueless about anything in the US. For example, do you guys buy bottled water or just drink the one from the tap?

Anyway, I woke up this morning to see that water is back in the pipes hehe. Seems like everyone in the whole building has had running water since Friday except for us. So then they found the problem, made a lot of noise fixing it and now it's all fine again.

lol. Sorry I guess I should have explained myself better. In the States we don't go by the time that you do. (I figured this out from your entry.) See, we go on a 12 to 12 schedule. I'm not sure how to explain it other than this: our clocks go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and then start going back around. We don't have the 13, 14, etc like you do.

As for the water, we drink it from both tap and bottle. My family has a refridgerator that has a water thing built into it. It produces it's own ice and that's where the water comes from. Do you have stuff like that where you live?

This is interesting to hear how different our countries are. lol. I like learning this stuff. :D <3

Hahah, really? We also use 1, 2, 3 etc all the time for p.m. (cause it's easier to say) but the correct way, so to speak, is 13, 14 and so on. Like you'll never hear anyone say out loud "It's 17:45 now" or something.
I know, I love this stuff also hehe. It's so weird to hear that though since lj also uses a 24 hour time system.

I have a refrigerator like that too! Haha. In Egypt you have to drink bottled water, same as in Indonesia and Germany (these are the places I've lived in so in case you're interested, I'm passing on the information lol). But in Bosnia, there is no need, we just drink the water from the tap, it's clean enough. Haha, I feel like such a geek talking about this. <33
